Our School in Numbers

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University State Conservatory was established in 2008. The Department of Turkish Music, founded in 2015, has continued its educational activities since the 2015-2016 Academic Year. Within the Department of Turkish Music, the Undergraduate Program has been offered since the 2015-2016 Academic Year, the Thesis-Based Master’s Program since the 2017-2018 Academic Year, and the Doctoral Program since the 2021-2022 Academic Year.

In addition, the Department of Turkish Religious Music will begin its educational activities as of the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Our first undergraduate students graduated in the 2018-2019 Academic Year, while our first master’s students graduated in 2019.

The building in which educational activities are carried out includes 4 modern classrooms, 2 lecture halls, 1 computer laboratory, 1 concert hall, and 8 sound-insulated practice rooms available for student use. The Conservatory also has a total of 4 smart boards, and the modern classrooms are equipped with sound insulation.

Each year, nearly 80 scientific, artistic, and cultural activities are organized at our Conservatory with the participation of academic staff and students, including concerts, recitals, talks, seminars, and similar events.

The academic staff of our Conservatory consists of 3 Professors, 6 Associate Professors, 3 Assistant Professors, 1 Lecturer, and 1 Research Assistant.

To date, our academic staff have produced 287 scientific publications, carried out 7 projects, and received 18 awards.
